Parents of children on the autism spectrum are often advised to establish a special needs trust to plan for the long-term financial needs of their child. But with the 2014 passage of the ABLE Act, individuals with disabilities and their families now have a new tool to set aside money for expenses that aren’t necessarily covered by public benefits, such as SSI, SNAP and Medicaid.

Come attend our next speaker event on Tuesday, June 5, to find out:

  • What is a special needs trust and why might my child need one?
  • What are the differences between first & third party trusts?
  • What is a pooled trust?
  • What is an ABLE account and how can I open one for my child?
  • What’s the relationship between special needs trusts and ABLE accounts?
