Raising a child on the autism spectrum brings uncertainty not only for the child and parents, but also for the entire family. You find yourself traveling on a bumpy path with no clear end in sight. It starts with a diagnosis that often takes twists and turns before you arrive at some answers. It leads to a maze of county and private programs and services: which ones fit your child's needs? And navigating this maze leaves you wondering how to attend to the emotional needs of siblings, your spouse, extended family, and finally, yourself.

In this workshop you will learn what to expect to experience when raising a child on the Spectrum from birth to independence, the typical stages of a family life cycle and how those affect how you support your autistic child, and ways to nurture you and your family's emotional needs during the course of raising your family.
