The school year has begun and this year looks different than last year! Your student may have an IEP or Section 504 plan, but what should those look like during distance learning? How can you support your child this year? What should you expect from your child’s school team? Join special education certified teacher and experienced advocate Amy Mounce to learn strategies to make your student’s distance learning experience a success. Distance learning plans and methods to monitor your student’s learning will be discussed.

Amy Mounce M.A., M.Ed., an experienced certified special educator, university instructor, educational diagnostician, and parent trainer for over twenty years, works collaboratively with stakeholders of students with disabilities to navigate the special education process (identification, eligibility, IEP/504 development, implementation, annual reviews) and advocate for appropriate services. Her expertise in administering, collecting and analyzing standardized and informal assessment data is used to evaluate, create, monitor and modify Individualized Education Programs and Section 504 plans. She works with students of all disabilities and twice exceptional students.
