This presentation is part one of a two-part series on English Learners and Disabilities (Part 2 of this series will take place on October 14 at 4 PM). It features guest speaker Solange Lopes-Murphy, Ph.D, Associate Professor in the Dept. of Special Education, Language and Literacy, College of New Jersey.

As teachers of English learners, it can be difficult to determine if a student is simply struggling with language acquisition or if the student also has learning disabilities. During this webinar, Dr. Lopes-Murphy will share a framework for better understanding the interface of language learning and learning disabilities along with guides for reflection and tips for practice when working with multilingual students with disabilities.
