Dates: Every Thursday for 14 weeks, beginning October 28, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM EST

Cost: $140 per teen + $140 for every session a caregiver attends + one time intake fee

PEERS for Adolescents is a 14-week evidenced based program for middle and high school aged teens who are interested in learning skills to help make and keep friends. The PEERS curriculum is evidenced based for teens with ASD, ADHD, Anxiety, and Depression. Each 90 minute group includes a didactic lesson and opportunities for the teens to practice the skills taught. Caregivers attend separate sessions at the same time and learn how to be a social coach for their teen. Some of the weekly topics include:

Using appropriate conversation skills

Using humor appropriately

Using electronic communication

Choosing appropriate friends

Entering and exiting conversations

Being a good host during get-togethers

Being a good sport

Handling arguments and disagreements

Changing a bad reputation

Handling rumors and gossip

Handling rejection, teasing, and bullying
