Ages: 18-35


PEERS for Young Adults is a 16-week evidenced based social skills intervention for motivated young adults between the ages of 18-35 who are interested in learning skills to make and keep friends and/or develop romantic relationships. Each session includes a didactic lesson and opportunities for the young adults to practice the skills taught. Social coaches (parents or other caregivers) attend separate sessions at the same time and are taught how to support the young adult in using these social skills.

Young Adults Will Learn About:

• Developing and maintaining friendships

• Conversational skills

• Entering and exiting conversations

• Appropriate use of humor

• Electronic communication

• Dating skills

• Organizing get-togethers with friends

• Handling direct and indirect bullying

• Handling disagreements

• Handling dating pressure
