Please join us on World Mental Health Day for an “encore,” no-cost presentation of “The State of Student Mental Health.” This presentation provides a special education expert’s insight into the reasons and solutions to our current youth mental health crisis. Dr. Kristen Eccleston, Weinfeld Education Group’s (WEG) Director of Social Emotional Services, will present up-to-date information about the causes and solutions regarding the rising challenges with anxiety, depression, school avoidance, and other related mental health challenges that our students are facing. Dr. Eccleston founded MCPS’ special program for students with this constellation of challenges. She now provides advocacy services for these students through WEG, helping them find appropriate school services and programs. The initial presentation of this webinar on 9/29/22 was extremely well received. Dr. Eccleston will answer your questions live at the conclusion of the presentation.
