Parents Together Support Group (for parents of ages 15-28)

Date: Third Thursday of every month from 7:35 PM – 9:05 PM for parents of older adolescents and young adults (ages 15-28)

Cost: $50 per session, participants may receive reimbursement through their insurance.

Parents Together offers parents of autistic children and adolescents and parents of autistic young adults opportunities to enhance coping skills and gain insight and understanding of the emotional impact of Autism Spectrum Differences on the family system. It also offers parents time and tools to develop supportive relationships, share resources, and aims to strengthen the capacity of families to navigate the emotional and practical challenges of raising children and launching adolescents and young adults on the spectrum. The group has been going strong since Summer 2017, has both moms and dads participating, and offers a regular, real-time connection for families!

Typically, the meetings will be conducted virtually over Zoom. However, two to three meetings a year will be held at the Starobin office at 18213 Hillcrest Ave in Olney, MD. 

Groups are facilitated by Caron Starobin, LCSW-C.
