Ivymount Outreach

Dates: STARTS TODAY! September 29th - January 12th 2022 (no classes on 11/24, 12/15, 12/22, 12/29)

Time: Thursdays 4:00-5:30 PM

Location: 11614 Seven Locks Road, Rockville, MD 20854. Fall 2022 program will be held onsite and in-person; however, the classes may switch to virtual for a period of time if the health situation necessitates.

Cost: $2280

Ages: 14-21

Students will develop self-advocacy skills through a variety of activities. By the end of the course students will have identified their strengths, interests and challenges. Students will gain a better understanding of their disability, practice goal setting, and develop strategies and resources for problem solving. The course is interactive and students will be given opportunities to practice “telling their story” to others, including employers. Students will plan a culminating event to showcase the skills they have developed.
