This presentation will be based on a simple statement made by an adult autistic friend of mine, “Autism changes the rules”, she said. “In fact, it is more important for an autistic person to learn executive functions than it is to learn social skills.”

Executive Functions essentially control our behavior and emotions, but for the autistic person this can be difficult. This presentation will be about the Executive Functions, but more importantly, there will be detailed suggestions for how to access and strengthen these functions specifically for the autistic individual. The ideas shared will be simple, direct, and applicable for home and school.
