Date: Every Wednesday from 7:00PM - 8:00PM starting on 10/9/24 - 1/8/25

(except for weeks with Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day; please also note that the sessions on 10/9 and 1/8 are parent sessions)

Description: Living with a sibling on the spectrum provides a unique set of challenges for young people. Starobin Counseling's "Siblings Together" program can help reduce the social isolation some children feel because of these challenges. The group provides tools for children ages 8 through 13 who have autistic siblings. Bari Turkheimer, LCSW-C, leads this 9-week program that provides an opportunity to explore and share feelings, grow an understanding of autism and its impacts, and develop coping skills for the challenges that come when you have a sibling on the spectrum. Bari creates a warm environment where group members feel safe to share their experiences and connect with peers.
