Youth and adolescents with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities experience anxiety and various anxiety disorders at higher rates than their neurotypical peers. Participants will:

  • Learn how to assess for anxiety in youth and adolescents with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities.
  • Learn how various adaptations can be utilized to increase the emotional awareness of youth and adolescents with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities.
  • Learn approaches and specific strategies to help youth and adolescents with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities tolerate anxiety-provoking situations.
