xMinds Statement on Racial Justice

xMinds stands against all forms of hate and bigotry. The killing of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmoud Arbery, Eric Garner, and countless others, as well as the current protests, confirm the grim reality that racial injustice and systemic inequality continue to pervade our society. In schools and in the disability community we see it every day in the disproportionate rates at which special education students of color are restrained, secluded, suspended and expelled.

xMinds supports systemic change to address these inequities and is reviewing initiatives related to: (1) racial disparities in school discipline and (2) safety for black and brown autistic students when interacting with police.
